A poison is defined as any substance which can cause death or illness when absorbed by the body. Products deemed poisonous will be marked with a poison symbol. However, some substances don’t have warnings such as alcohol and household plants. In addition, some substances are not harmful in small amounts but can be poisonous in larger amounts.
